Our science-driven data products support efforts to reduce carbon emissions from deforestation and degradation and restore forests at all scales.
Land Use Change Alerts (LUCA)

Land Use Change Alerts (LUCA)
LUCA provides reliable near-real-time information on disturbances in forests worldwide. Based on radar satellite imagery, LUCA works under all weather conditions globally, and covers all forest biomes: tropical humid, tropical dry, temperate, and boreal.
The free application offers geospatial data from 2018 to present and the ability to quantify areas of disturbance by administrative area or region of interest.
Land Carbon Map

Land Carbon Map
CTrees’ global land carbon map provides accurate estimates of carbon at 1-hectare resolution in all global forests and non-forest areas, including woodlands, grasslands, urban areas, croplands, coastal wetlands, and mangroves. Available annually from 2000 to present, the maps include spatial confidence level to allow prediction of carbon risks and returns. The maps are designed to meet accuracy requirements for calculating emission factors at project or jurisdictional levels.

Activity Data

Activity Data
CTrees’ activity datasets measure deforestation, forest degradation, and forest regeneration across the tropics. Developed with first-of-its-kind AI technology, the datasets offer precise attribution, identifying deforestation and forest degradation from selective and illegal logging, fire, and other activities with >90% overall accuracy.
Our 5 meter resolution dataset for 2017 to present is available exclusively for non-commercial use. Our dataset at 30 meter resolution for 1990 to present will be available in December 2023 for both commercial and non-commercial use. Contact us to learn more.
Jurisdictional MRV

Jurisdictional MRV
CTrees provides data for all jurisdictions globally to measure, report, and verify (MRV) their carbon stocks, emissions, and removals from land. By scaling up data on carbon flux from <0.1 hectare levels to state, country, and global estimates, CTrees provides consistent calculation of emission and removals. Our data is designed for jurisdictions to measure progress on climate policies and develop jurisdictional carbon credit programs under major standards.
See annual estimates for more than 185 countries and their subnational divisions in our free data tool – and access advanced MRV features through partnerships.
Tree-level Data

Tree-level Data
CTrees' tree-level data provides information on individual trees at local to national scales. Data includes all trees, whether inside or outside forests, such as in savannas, urban, and altered landscapes. With information on trees’ location, crown size, height and estimated carbon content, users can study patterns of disturbance, recovery, and growth. Our tree-level data is designed to help plan nature-based climate solutions, and to manage wildfire fuel reduction.
Tree-level data is available by license from CTrees and its scientific partners. Contact us to learn more.
